David Wallace sings, plays guitar and writes most of the lyrics for Automatic Rival. In 1998 at the age of seventeen he decided to start a band. After a few months, a flier was answered by bassist Nathan Shields and the two immediately shared a musical bond. Finally after years of looking and a move from Stockton, CA to Davis, CA, the two found power drummer Jeff Kwiatek.
Born in Stockton CA, David discovered his love and passion for music at an early age. At around twelve years old, he put his parents’ records on cassette tape and would fall asleep every night listening to the Beatles’ Abby road and Jimi Hendrix’s Are You Experienced. At the age of thirteen he started playing guitar and writing music. Aside from creating and listening to music, performing is his biggest passion.
